Bulk Coins - Job Lot
Throughout my numismatic journey, I’ve bought coins from diverse origins, including complete albums and extensive collections. My purchases were driven by a fascination with the unique and historically significant pieces. Yet, a substantial portion of my collection now comprises coins that are outside my primary interests. As a result, I’ve compiled these weird and wonderful, but less coveted coins into bundles, which I’m offering at significantly reduced prices. My knowledge of many of these coins is limited, so it’s possible that among them are hidden treasures waiting to be uncovered. I invite you to explore these collections—perhaps you’ll find a rare gem among them. Enjoy the hunt!

TETRICUS I
This is a small hoard of 7 coins from the reign of Tetricus.Tetricus I, also known as Gaius Pius Esuvius Tetricus, was a Gallo-Roman nobleman who ruled as emperor of the Gallic Empire from 271 to 274 . He became emperor after the murder of Victorinus, with the support of Victorinus’s mother, Victoria. During his reign, he faced significant challenges, including invasions by Germanic tribes and internal pressures.
Tetricus eventually surrendered to the Roman Emperor Aurelian at the Battle of Châlons in 274 AD. After his surrender, Aurelian spared him and appointed him as the governor of Lucania in southern Italy.
The hoard is sold as a group.

BRITISH COLONIAL INDIA
The 1/12 Anna coins, which are bronze with cupronickel plating served as currency during the British colonial days in India. This particular set consists of 15 coins, each bearing the year 1925.
Produced by both the Calcutta and Bombay mints, these coins display the regal profile of King George V on the obverse. The reverse is adorned with the coin’s value and the year, encircled by beads and framed by a wreath.
A few coins show slight signs of wear, and one has shed its silver coating.
This collection of 15 coins is offered collectively, rather than as individual pieces

PETROL TOKENS
The Aluminium Cleveland Petrol Tokens from 1971 are part of the ‘Great Medals’ series, which were promotional items produced by Cleveland Petrol, a subsidiary of ESSO. These tokens were designed to resemble various historical medals and were given out as collectibles. The series included 16 different medal designs, and approximately 15 million tokens were issued.
Each token is made of aluminium, weighs about 1.2 grams, and measures around 19mm in diameter. The designs feature significant historical events or figures, such as the China medal of 1842 or the War medals from 1914-1918 and 1939-1945.
These tokens are tiny and I have included a photo of a 50p coin to show a comparison. The original set comprised 16 items, so this set is not complete. The individual tokens are seeling on eBay for approx £7-£10 each, so I am offering them at a considerable discount!
