This 1746 George II Halfpenny is a classic British copper coin from the mid-18th century. It features the left-facing bust of King George II on the obverse, with the inscription "GEORGIVS II REX." The reverse depicts Britannia seated, holding a shield and spear, with the date 1746 below.
In Very Fine (VF) condition, this coin retains clear detail in the king’s portrait and Britannia’s features, though, as expected for its age, there is some circulation wear. The surfaces show an attractive patina, with some marks and wear consistent with nearly three centuries of history!
