Queen Elizabeth II 1977 Silver Jubilee Crown

Issued to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 25 years on the throne. The obverse features a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II on horseback. She is shown in her Colonel-in-Chief of the Grenadier Guards uniform. Surrounding this image is the inscription: “ELIZABETH II DG. REG FD 1977.”
On the reverse side of the crown is a decorative coronation insignia. This design was created by renowned sculptor and artist Arnold Machin.
The coronation insignia depicts the ampulla (a vessel for holy oil) and the anointing spoon used in Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. A crown sits atop these symbols, framed by a floral border.
Notably, there is no inscription on the reverse.
